Development
| If you are
looking to take a more active role in the Spiritual world
that we are all a part of, and want to find out how best to understand and develop
your own abilities, there
are a number of methods of achieving your own personal development.
Typically, these can include joining a development circle, attending
workshops, taking a development course, or even having one to one
personal tuition to kick start you. In reality it will probably be a combination of these which will benefit you the most. More information can be found on these by clicking on the buttons above. Developing Effectively One of the most important part of starting your development will be that of managing your expectations. I have known so many people that have taken far longer than they needed to develop themselves, or have even been dissuaded altogether from continuing, by comparing themselves to either professional mediums or their peer group. Indeed, I have experienced this with my own development. When I started upon my own development path I joined a meditation circle. This comprised of approximately 10-12 individuals being led by a medium on a guided meditation, usually one with vivid and colourful visualisations. There would then follow each member of the group replaying their experiences to the circle as a whole and receiving an interpretation from the medium. I would do my best to relax and follow the visualisation as described but my experience never seemed to be as strong as many of the others, or so it seemed. This, naturally, led me to believe that I was maybe not as gifted as them. The reality was, at that time, that visualisation was not my strength - my natural abilities are clairsentience and clairauduence. I was not aware of this however and it took me a while before I realised that I should not compare myself, or try to be like, others. This also extends to the professional mediums who appear to have far greater gifts than the rest. If you would like to find out more about these senses then click 'here', or on the button above.
